At Samajik Vikas Kendra, our vision has always been to make a lasting and meaningful impact on the lives of the most vulnerable members of society—whether they are abandoned children, elderly citizens, or those in need of healthcare. For over two decades, we have been relentlessly working toward creating a better future for these individuals, empowering them to break free from cycles of poverty, neglect, and ill-health. Our mission is simple: to provide food, care, education, and support for all, with a focus on uplifting the lives of those who need it the most. This campaign showcases the transformative changes we are making in the lives of the children, elderly, and communities we serve, through dedicated care and support systems.
The Heart of Samajik Vikas Kendra: A Journey of Compassion
Our story began in 1997 with a humble initiative—setting up a Day Care Centre in Chimbai, Bandra, to provide children from underprivileged backgrounds with a safe space for growth and learning. Over the years, our efforts have expanded significantly, resulting in two Children’s Homes and three Old Age Homes across Mumbai and Karjat, providing support to children and elderly people who have nowhere else to turn.

What began as a small act of compassion has now grown into a powerful movement of change. The core of Samajik Vikas Kendra lies in its values of care, dignity, love, and hope. By addressing the fundamental needs of these individuals—be it in the form of food, shelter, healthcare, or emotional support—we are laying the foundation for long-term empowerment and rehabilitation.
Our work is not just about addressing immediate needs, but also about making a sustainable difference in the lives of those we serve. With each passing day, we continue to impact lives in profound ways, proving that through compassion and determination, positive change is not just a dream, but a reality.
Changing the Lives of Children: Empowering the Next Generation
One of the most crucial areas where Samajik Vikas Kendra is making a significant impact is in the lives of children. Our “Sponsor a Child” and “Child Healthcare Assistance” campaigns are central to the work we do in this regard.
Many of the children under our care have been abandoned or are from families who are unable to provide them with basic necessities such as education, healthcare, and a stable home environment. By sponsoring a child, you are giving them the opportunity to break free from poverty and build a better future. Through our program, children receive quality education, healthcare, emotional support, and the chance to grow in a safe and nurturing environment.
These children are not just the future of Samajik Vikas Kendra—they are the future of society. We believe in empowering them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to become independent, successful individuals. Their success is our success, and with your support, we can continue to uplift them and ensure that no child is left behind.
Caring for the Elderly: Providing Dignity and Love
The elderly in India, especially those who are abandoned or have no family to care for them, often find themselves living in isolation and neglect. Our “Adopt a Mom and Dad” campaign provides a unique opportunity for people to make a difference in the lives of senior citizens by offering them emotional and financial support.
Our old age homes are safe havens where elderly individuals are not just cared for, but respected and valued. By participating in this campaign, you ensure that these senior citizens, who have contributed so much to society, can live their later years with dignity, care, and love. They are provided with not just basic needs like food and shelter, but also the emotional support and companionship they deserve.
Through this campaign, we are also raising awareness about the need for senior care in our society. We aim to promote the importance of honoring and caring for the elderly, whether they are our own parents or individuals in need of support. By adopting a mom or dad, you are not just providing for their needs—you are ensuring that they are treated with the respect and love they deserve.
