Samajik Vikas Kendra was born out of a simple dream: to ensure that no child or elderly person is left without love, care, and support. Over the years, we have expanded our reach, creating safe havens for those in need. Our shelters are not just homes; they are sanctuaries where dreams are nurtured, and lives are rebuilt. Together, we can continue to make a difference. Join us in this mission of hope and humanity.
It gives me immense gratitude to share the heartfelt purpose behind the establishment of Samajik Vikas Kendra. For over 28 years, our organization has been a safe haven for those whom society often overlooks — destitute children, children of single parents, and abandoned elderly moms and dads.
The seeds of this mission were sown with a simple, yet profound belief: Every individual, regardless of age or circumstances, deserves love, care, and dignity. Today, through 2 Children Shelter Homes and 4 Old Age Homes across Mumbai and Karjat, we are striving to turn this belief into reality, but we cannot do it alone.
DREAMZ HOME – CHILDREN SHELTERS
Children are the future, yet many grow up without a sense of security or guidance due to circumstances beyond their control. Our shelter homes nurture these young souls by:
• Providing education sponsorship to ensure every child’s right to learning.
• Encouraging their aspirations — whether to become doctors, teachers, or dancers.
• Creating a family-like environment where they feel safe, loved, and valued.
However, we need the collective support of the community to empower these children to chase their dreams. Education, food, and emotional well-being are fundamental rights, not privileges.
VISHRAM GHAR – OLD AGE HOMES
Our Vishram Ghar Old Age Homes in Mumbai, Karjat, and Virar serve elderly moms and dads who have been abandoned, neglected, or left without caregivers. At our homes, we aim to:
• Provide a dignified life through shelter, nutrition, and medical care.
• Rebuild their sense of belonging & happiness through community engagement.
• Offer care spaces like the Life Saver Room and Isolated Rooms for critical and special needs.
These homes are more than just shelters; they are places where elderly individuals rediscover their purpose and peace in their twilight years. But to sustain these efforts, we need you.
